What We Do

We are the Premier Authority on China Adoptions and Birth Parent Searches

DNAConnect is the largest China birth parent search organization on Earth. We have located nearly 1,600 birth families in China, reunited almost 300 adoptees with their families, and we are finding more all the time.

With nearly 30 years of experience researching China adoptions—first through Research-China.Org and now also DNAConnect.Org—we have become the premier authority and source of information and assistance with China adoptions and birth family searches.

We are continually locating more birth parents in China and assisting in getting their DNA tests available for matching with birth children. The more birth families we locate in China, the better the chances that children adopted from China will be matched with a birth family member.

We Gather Birth Family DNA in China

With our connections and resources throughout China, we are able to find people who gave up or had taken from them a birth child, typically through China's strict One Child Policy that was in place from 1979 to 2015. We collect the DNA of these birth parents as well as other family details and contact information.

When There's A Match

When DNA of a birth family matches that of an adoptee, we are notified, and if both parties agree, we are able to serve as the liaison to connect them and help them communicate.

Through our original research venture, Research-China.Org, we started by acquiring adoptee finding ads, and over the last 25-30 years we have gained a wealth of information from orphanage records, finding locations, dates, birth cities, trends, and more.
